VEGA BAJA GARDEN CLUB 2012
The new year for the garden club starts on 6th Feb with a talk by club members Harry and Anna Van Dijk entitled “Winter flowering plants”. This should be an interesting talk as Anna and Harry are very experienced gardeners and always bring along a selection of plants to illustrate their talk.
On Feb 13th, Jackie has organized a lunch at ‘Elvira's' in San Luis for club members so make sure that your name is on the list!
The Dec meeting was the usual ‘Quiz and Nibbles' afternoon with a huge amount of food brought by all the club members. Margot Gay set the quiz again and even had some of the regular quiz goers flummoxed as the winning team only managed 82 points out of a possible 125!! Several people brought along gifts to be raffled for club funds to help towards outings in the coming year, and everyone had a good time.
Don't forget…next meeting is Mon FEB 6th from 2-4pm at Los Rosales restaurant on the Lemon Tree Road, Guadamar. New members are always welcome.
