TORREVIEJA MAYOR APPOINTED CHAIRMAN TO BOARD OF HEALTH
More responsibility for Torrevieja's popular mayor Eduado Dolon who on Monday was appointed as the new Chairman to the city's Board of Health.
The appointment was announced by Dr. Manuel Garcia Gea at the first meeting of the Board of Health held in 2012. At the same meeting Frank Leyn was presented as the new manager of Torrevieja Health Department.
In his acceptance the mayor congratulated all of the medical professionals in Torrevieja for the great work they have done over recent years. He said that the examples they had set had also encouraged everyone to continue working with dedication and professionalism for the benefit of all citizens in the region which also includes the residents of the villages of San Fulgencio, Formentera del Segura, Rojales, Guardamar, Benijófar , Los Montesinos, San Miguel de Salinas, Pilar de la Horadada and the Orihuela Costa.
He concluded by saying that the efforts of all doctors, managers and staff must ensure that the Hospital of Torrevieja and the entire Department of Health continue to be a benchmark of quality health care both nationally and internationally.
