NEW CHEMIST FOR ENTRE NARANJOS

Residents and visitors to the village of Entre Naranjos can sleep easier in their beds from this week, knowing that should they become ill, they now have a pharmacy right in the heart of their urbanisations.

Having operated a pharmacy store in Orihuela for the last six and a half years, pharmacist Esperanza Martínez Jiménez says she is looking forward to “helping the community” that thrives on this popular inland oasis and she is also proud of now becoming a part of that ever growing community.

The shop will open from Monday to Friday between 9 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, and Esperanza is more than happy to dispense advice as well as medication in both Spanish and English.

Having grown from a somewhat isolated urbanisation when it first opened, the residents of Entre Naranjos and Laguna Green can already boast a selection of bars, shops and eateries and now, with the next stage in their natural growth of a pharmaceutical outlet being completed, it is hoped that this may well lead to a doctor's surgery becoming available in the near future, without the need for poorly people having to make extra effort to leave the comfort of their own homes and drive to a nearby surgery to seek medical care.
