MEET THE COUNCILLOR OF TRANSPORT, MOBILITY AND MODERNIZATION
The councillor of Transport, Mobility and Modernization, Martina Scheurer, Los Verdes, communicates that starting from next Monday, she will be present at the town hall of Playa Flamenca on a regular basis.
In spite of the fact that her main department is situated in Orihuela Centre, Martina Scheurer declares that she sees a need to have a closer contact to the citizens of the Coast as well. For this reason, she has decided to be in Playa Flamenca each Monday morning. She will be available at the Foreign Resident's office to all citizens who want to approach her with problems, queries or suggestions regarding the town hall departments which she manages. She invites especially all disabled citizens to contact her and to refer the daily problems which they might find regarding street crossing, foot paths, access to public buildings etc.
The department of Mobility, which includes accessibility, was cancelled in 2007. As we all know, the budget is very limited, but Martina Scheurer is sure that with goodwill and cooperation of the citizens, improvements can be made to the benefit of all.
