HELP AT HOME COSTA BLANCA
Help At Home Costa Blanca are proud to announce that they are looking after clients in the Quesada to Rojales area and are developing a new group of volunteers to cover this area more efficiently. A meeting of volunteers is being held on 18th January, 3pm at La Marabu Restaurant, on the Lemon Tree road.
We have a UK / Spanish qualified nurse and Volunteer co-ordinater plus volunteers, one of which is a retired Nurse and her husband a retired ambulance driver. These amazing people have volunteered to help those in need of a little FREE help at home short term, whatever age or nationality.
To develop this area further, we need more volunteers, if you are interested, please do come to the meeting at La Marabu Restaurant on 18th January, if you cannot make it that day and still want to become a HAH CB Volunteer, please telephone Jean, Volunteer Co-ordinator on 966 848 715 or Sheila on 603 245 020. Help At Home Costa Blanca are developing areas that need our services, we intend to expand to cover La Marina and Santa Pola by Easter, to be able to do so, we need volunteers who have a few hours to spare. Ideally we need 10 volunteers to start each area, this must include a qualified nurse of any nationality and a volunteer co-ordinator, someone who is a good organiser and does not mind visiting each client / case to assess their needs, which could be anything from nursing care to home help.
We pride ourselves on the 3 'R's service we provide, we receive, respond and release. This service is provided FREE short term which is usually within 4 to 6 weeks. Should a client need long term help, we contact Social Services to ensure they take over their needs before we release our client to the best of our ability.
We thank you in anticipation that should you wish to join a fantastic team of volunteers, you are joining a Charity who responds to those in need of a little FREE help at home. We work closely with Caritas Orihuela Costa and Social Services Torrevieja. We are in the process of expanding our sevices by joining the Torrevieja platform of Charities and Associations and developing a platform of Charities Orihuela Costa.
