COSTA MOTORING AND CARAVANNING

There are a couple of motoring events of note over the next couple of weeks. After yesterday's Sunday Drivers Club event (www.MostOnTheCoast.com), the action moves to Ace Café outside La Torre Hotel in Los Montesinos, where cars, drivers and visitors are all invited from around 11.00am through 1.00pm, for the popular and regular monthly event. For those planning their holidays or looking for a weekend get-a-way, a great place to start is the Caravan 2012 Exhibition, which takes place over the next two weekends at the IFA in Alicante, with more information available from their web site at http://feria-alicante.com. The show has become one of the major trade fairs in Spain, with advanced ticket sales and interest boding well for growth on the number of visitors and expectations in sales over last year. ACYCA President, Jose Cruz, says that "the change of dates is to combine with other events. This year, we have moved the show forward because this way, you have more time for deliveries of caravans and motor homes that can be sold and delivered before Easter."

The fair is aimed at all audiences, because "the camping-caravanning scene is an interesting option to be able to travel freely and to schedule your vacation; it's a lifestyle," continued the president of ACYCA. In addition to the new exhibition, they are planning a concentration of caravans and motorhomes in a parking lot, beside the main exhibition building.

The 20 edition of Caravanning (2012) is open Friday through Sunday over two weekends, 3, 4, 5 and 10,11, 12 of February, 2012, with the doors open from 10.30am to 8.30pm.
