BUS SERVICE FOR MEDIEVAL MARKET
It has been confirmed that the annual Orihuela Medieval Market, one of the biggest in Spain, will take place on the weekend of 3rd, 4th and 5th of February.
The Department of Transport has organized a regular bus service between Orihuela Costa and Orihuela Centre for these three days, so that residents and visitors from Orihuela Costa can visit the Market without needing to use a car.
The buses will circulate as follows (small changes in time table may be possible):
Friday 3rd of February:
Departs Playa Flamenca at 17.00h, return service leaves at 22.00h.
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of February:
Departs Playa Flamenca at 10.00h, returns at 15.00h and again
Departs Playa Flamenca at 17.00h, returns at 22.00h.
The return ticket is 4,90€.
The buses will start at Playa Flamenca, at the Mercadona car park, and will also collect passengers in Entrenaranjos. A stop at Los Dolses and/or at Morgan's Bar in Eagles Nest may also be possible.

We would have been delighted to be able to give our citizens and visitors this service for free, but unfortunately our current financial situation does not allow it. On the other hand, citizens living in other remote suburbs of Orihuela, such as La Murada, also have to pay for an ordinary bus ticket. However, the Department of Transport can confirm that there will be a public bus service to Orihuela for all the different important fiestas which will take place during the year, such as the Easter processions, the Dia del Pajaro, the Moors and Christians etc. and we hope that many of our Orihuela Costa citizens will use the service and take part in the cultural and historical events of the City.
