Thirteen people have been arrested in a joint operation between the Guardia Civil and National Police, accused of being part of a gang responsible for more than 100 burglaries across Almería, Alicante and Murcia.

Six of the alleged members of the group were arrested in Torrevieja, five were arrested in Alicante and two more were arrested in Marseilles in France, on European wide arrest warrants.

The investigation began last October and found that the gang, or Algerian, Russian and Latvian origin, were operating as splinter groups of the main gang, operating in various places along the coast.
