Camps with his former number two Ricardo Costa

Former Presidente of the Valencia Government Francisco Camps is in court today for a hearing in the suits part of the Gürtel case which will finally get underway this morning.
An attempt by Ricardo Costa, former number two to the ex President, to censure the broadcast of the court case in which both men face charges of passive bribery, has been rejected by the judge.

Meanwhile the current President of the Valencia regional government, Alberto Fabra, is reorganizing large events in the area, many of which have proved an economic fiasco. The DGT traffic authority is carrying out an anti drink-drive campaign from today until Sunday this week where we are told that we can expect more breathalyser controls as they say they want to crack down on office Christmas parties and other celebrations which are held ahead of Christmas.
The DGT reminds drivers that being under the effects of alcohol the risk of having an accident increases nine-fold. They say it slows down reaction time, causes vision problems, drowsiness, loss of control, excitability and problems with coordination.

Not a bad weekend for football although segunda league leaders Hercules dropped two points at home in a 2-2 draw with Valladolid.
