OUTLOOK POSITIVE FOR COSTA BLANCA AND COSTA CALIDA SPANISH PROPERTY

A recent study into the fluctuations of house prices in Spain has shown that Spanish property prices in the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida beginning to stabilize.

The survey by an online property portal with over 100,000 Spanish property listings has shown that the Alicante and Murcia regions in particular, have performed much better in the first half of 2011 than in previous years.

It is thought that these two regions have performed particularly well in recent months due to the large levels of infrastructure work currently going on there. This includes the second terminal at Alicante Airport, the new international airport at Corvera on the outskirts of Murcia, the announcement that the brand new Paramount Theme Park will see construction begin in early 2012, and recent news that the Chinese Government will be investing in a huge industrial area for Chinese businesses.

All of these new developments are set to create thousands of new jobs in the region.

Property prices in the regions are stabilizing and whilst they are no where near their 2007 highs, they are no longer falling at the rapid rate which was seen in 2009 and 2010. Real-estate prices are at their lowest since 2007 in the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida, and are set to grow over the coming months. Demand for Costa Blanca property at the lower end for rental income is through the roof with properties under € 90,000 being snapped up quickly.
