MAYOR OF PILAR APPOINTS VILLAGE PRINCIPALS
The Mayor of Pilar de la Horadada, José Fidel Ros, appointed his seven village principals last Tuesday who will each represent one of the major neighbourhoods in the region.
He described the initiative as ‘pioneering' and ‘part of his plans to take decision making down to grass roots level in the administration."
The ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Casa de Cultura.
According to Ros' in this way the principals will be closer to their own local residents. “They will all be especially approachable and available to listen to the concerns in their own respective neighbourhoods,” he said, “who will then take those anxieties to the specific councillor concerned where they will be dealt with.”
The neighbourhood principals are: Anne Louise Innes (Mil Palmeras), Fernando Collazo (Pinar de Campoverde), María Isabel Pérez (Los Saez), Faustino Risquez (Torre de la Horadada), Pedro Moreno (Los Hortelanos), Jesus Castillo ( Riomar) and Maria del Carmen Tendero (La Canada).
