TORREVIEJA STOLEN CAR RING ARRESTS
Six people have been arrested, non of whom were Spanish nationals, as suspects involved in a stolen car ring across the Costa Blanca.
It is reported by investigators that a number of vehicles were stolen from around the area, then moved to an industrial unit in Torrevieja, where they would be either broken down or have their identity changed to enable them to be sold on.
The arrests occurred following the identification of a Volkswagen Golf, parked in Alicante, that had been reported stolen from Benidorm. Officers observed the vehicle and the occupants, and were then able to follow the car to the unit in Torrevieja.
The network was said to be extremely well established and had been operating for some time. Having now disbanded the activities of the group, criminal proceedings will continue.
