RBL MEMBERS DONATE TO THE LIONS FOR LORCA APPEAL

Following their recent monthly meeting the members of the Orihuela Costa Branch of the Royal British Legion held a raffle to help raise funds for the people of Lorca following the earthquake in May.

The raffle raised 160.00 euros and RBL Branch Chairman Keith Carter invited Iain Bennett, President of the Torrevieja Costa Lions Club to receive their donation. Iain met with Keith and the members of the RBL at their recent crazy golf tournament and was able to tell those present that their donation has helped raise the Lions for Lorca Appeal in Torrevieja and surrounding district to over 3,000.00 euros.

Iain also explained that the Mazarron Bahia Lions Club who are the closest Club to Lorca would ensure that every cent will be wisely spent in the best interests of those most needy. Every cent donated goes directly to those most in need.
