MÓNICA LORENTE NAMED AS OFFICIAL PP CANDIDATE FOR ORIHUELA

Last night at the Queen Sofia Arts Palace in Valencia, more than 3000 people attended the official unveiling of the 61 Partido Popular mayoral candidates of municipalities with inhabitants of more than 20,000 with the newly nominated PP presidential candidate and current President of Valencia, Francisco Camps, on hand to introduce them.

Mónica Lorente, who is also the PP President for Orihuela, is the current Orihuela Mayor and has said that she will continue to work hard for the residents of Orihuela, if its citizens decide to elect her at the ballot boxes during the forthcoming municipal elections on Sunday 22nd May.

Ms Lorente said that she was delighted to be given the candidacy and said that the Partido Popular in Orihuela was more united than ever. The Mayor went to Valencia with members of her existing government team, members of the local party executive and other PP representatives from all over the municipality.

At the official photo call for all the candidates, it was quite apt that Ms Lorente was given the word ´Future´ to hold up to the cameras, saying that she uses this word and the hope that it signifies as her motto. Monica Lorente will continue working with the same force and certainty that she always had done and looks forward to an electoral programme which will include working with all the different areas of the municipality.

She said: “We will prove to all the citizens of Orihuela, its hamlets, the coast and districts, that the Partido Popular realises their needs, can fulfil our promises for the future and provide a better quality of life.”
