CARNIVAL TIME ON THE COAST

This Saturday, 12th March, will see the first ever Orihuela Costa Carnival take place.
The event, which has been organised by the Councillor for the Coast along with the Orihuela Town Hall´s Youth Department, in collaboration with a number of other associations including the Parent´s Associations (AMPA) of the Los Dolces and Playas de Orihuela schools, the Association of Orihuela Costa Retailers (ECHO) and the Association of Young People in Orihuela Costa (AJOC).
The parade starts at Calle Salvador Dali at 17:00 and will continue along Calle Nicolas de Bussi before going down Calle Pablo Picasso. The parade will end at the Mercadona Car Park in Playa Flamenca where there will be lots of activities for children including bouncy castles and games and there will be entertainment, music and dancing for the adults. More than 300 people will take part in the event and it promises to be quite a spectacle, with dancing and a Afro-Brazilian percussion band providing the music. Prizes will be awared for the best dressed participants.
