CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF TO DEDICATE NEW ROUNDABOUT
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral D. Manuel Rebollo, will return to his home town of Pilar de la Horadada on Saturday where he will preside of the official dedication of the new Naval Roundabout.
Situated on the N332 Cartagena-Alicante by the Lo Monte Hotel the roundabout has been completely redesigned in recent weeks and now bears a number of items reclaimed from the Destroyer Alva 52 all of which have been donated to the town by the Spanish Navy.
The dedication will take place at 12.30 on Saturday 5 February following which the island will be known as The Rotunda de la Marina.
It will be presided over by Admiral Rebollo but attended by a number of local military authorities as well as the Mayor of Pilar de la Horadada Ignacio Ramos.
Musical accompaniment will be provided by la Unidad de música de Cornetas y Tambores del Tercio de Levante de Infantería de Marina de Cartagena.
