ORIHUELA TOWN HALL STATEMENT
The letters sent by the Orihuela Town Hall during the last few months are purely to ascertain whether or not the people registered at that property still live there.
It is common knowledge that a large percentage of foreign residents, who lived on the coast, have returned to their native countries and these letters were sent in a bid to determine if those properties are still occupied.
We are aware that the letters were sent very close to the Christmas holidays; a time when many residents return home to spend the festivities with their families, and we apologise for that unfortunate oversight and for any worry caused.
However, it is a fairly easy process to re-register on the padron if those people who have inadvertently been taken off it want to. If anyone has any questions about registering on the padron, please call into the Orihuela Costa Town Hall.
