DRINK DRIVER 5 TIMES OVER LIMIT

Guardia Civil arrested a man in Orihuela over the Christmas period for driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.

The 51 year-old lost control of his car, crashing it in to the protective barrier on the CV-840 and breath tests carried out at the scene showed the driver to be five times over the legal limit.

Troops of the Civil Guard have arrested a man Orihuela 51, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle went off the road and that the breath tests were performed to throw a rate five times higher than permitted, as reported in a statement Alicante Provincial Command.

The Ukrainian was arrested and is accused of allegedly committing a crime against road safety and driving under the influence of alcohol.
