The Spanish traffic authority, the DGT, have announced this week that they will no longer be notifying speeding drivers via the postal system, but will be using email and the internet instead.

The scheme will be rolled out across the country in the coming months and will allow road users to check in on the internet and see if they have been caught out speeding or parking illegally.

Drivers will be able to register their email address and mobile phone number and receive the notifications my email or text, if a violation has been recorded.
