JASBAH IS THE PLACE TO BE

Jasbah is the newly opened music bar, situated on the lower level in Flamenca Beach.

Decorated in a Moroccan theme, hence the name, a play on the word Casbah, the owners Lynne Walmsley and DJ Del Maddix hope to make it a relaxed and friendly bar for their customers to enjoy great music.

"When we go out for the evening, we struggle to find somewhere that we can hear good music and enjoy a quality bottle of wine in pleasant surroundings. We saw a gap in the market and decided to create what so many of us want in entertainment." said Lynne.

Regular party nights every Sunday with featured Exite Radio's soul DJ, Deano from 8 pm, Monday evenings host live jazz with the "Jasbah Combo" from 8.30 pm, where musicians are welcome to come along and jam with the group (strictly jazz). Get there early to secure a seat.

In-house Dj Del Maddix will be there every evening playing cool tunes from jazz to reggae and funk. Del is taking a short break from his Sunday afternoon Sunsplash show on Exite Radio until after Christmas to concentrate on getting the Jasbah up and running.

The Jasbah has a brand new top of the range pool table and houses pool league matches on Tuesday nights but all are welcome to participate every other night, look out for knockout competitions and "Killer" evenings.

Northern Soul fans will be delighted to know there will be a Northern Soul and Motown night on Saturday 27th November from 8.30 pm with specialist Northern Soul DJ's Stevie B and Dave Moore will be playing VINYL only! Get your talcum powder out!

The Jasbah has a good wine list and cava's at very reasonable prices.
