BENITO’S STORY
![]()
Benito was a rescued in a pitiful state. Blind, he was chained to a wall by his owner because he could no longer herd sheep.
Covered in ticks and fleas, starving and dehydrated, he was dying a slow death in the burning sun.
Rescued by A.P.A.H. he was cared for in a foster home, and his health was slowly restored, but nothing could be done for his sight.
Benito's wonderfully, gentle and friendly personality charms everyone who meets him.
He may not be able to see, but that does not stop him showering love around in huge amounts.
A.P.A.H. set about the job of finding just the right home for Benito as his needs are very specific.
We were delighted when a wonderful family came forward to offer Benito a safe and loving home.
Benito and his new ‘mum' go everywhere together, and whenever Benito meets people, he leaves a lasting impression that disability is no barrier to achieving happiness.
A.P.A.H. is proud to have been involved in saving this beautiful dog's life.
