PP OVERTURNS CALLS FOR RESIGNATIONs

The Partido Popular majority on Orihuela Town Council yesterday morning used its majority to turn down a motion presented by the Socialists that the three Councillors involved in the Brugal case, Gines Sanchez, Antonio Rodriguez Murcia and Manuel Abadia, resign until the case had been heard.

Before the meeting started, about a dozen militants from the Izquerda Unida and Communist Parties staged a small demonstration outside the Town Hall to protest the Cases of corruption.
