Hundreds of Counterfeit Goods Seizing in Torrevieja Raid
A joint operation carried out by the Guardia Civil and Local Police of Torrevieja was settled yesterday with the arrest of four men, three Senegalese nationals and one Spanish, alleged members of a band dedicated to the distribution of various luxury counterfeit goods for street sale.
The action centred on a house in the Rambla Juan Mateo where agents were for more than two hours in the presence of two of the detainees. Hundreds of items were seized counterfeit marks there as glasses, clothes, watches and handbags. The deployment of police roadblock kept for an hour and a half.
The facts began to be investigated late on Monday when about Local police officers patrolling the Rambla Juan Mateo men watched objects introduced in large bags in the dwelling in a block of flats with four floors. Then it was found that counterfeit items. Having given part of what happened to the research field agents of the Guardia Civil of Torrevieja was produced, with a warrant and registration began on Monday at 12.30. The house served inspected, according to sources, as a kind of store where counterfeit items were placed before being distributed to street vendors.
