Should there be an MP for places like Costa del Sol, Torrevieja etc. ?

No, they chose to live there, knowing they could do one of two things, register in the UK for postal votes or ignore the UK system and just vote in local Spanish and EU elections, which is what I did, and I lived in the Torrevieja area. There are also many thousands of British citizens living in Canada, Australia, Middle East, Far East, Africa etc, if those who moved to Spain want an MP, then those in other countries should be equally entitled. Moving abroad doesn’t lose you your entitlement to vote in UK general election as long as you register for that postal vote, which is what anyone who is seriously interested in UK politics will do.

Only a Frenchman could dream up such a studpid proposal. When I left the UK I fully expected to give up my right to any say in the way that the country that I pay no Taxes to is represented. Likewise I DO expect a say in my new country ( where I DO pay Taxes ) and I don’t see how it is fair to have your cake and eat it with regards to parliamentary representation. Another madcap proposal that won’t get it’s **** off the ground.

No. I don’t think expats, living in a separate sovereign country, should be represented in Parliament.

I think the British can have the Costa del Sol if we can have back Gibraltar. . . I’d like some monkeys xD– Yet another pro or con of the E. U, regarding the British people’s pensions etc. for receiving abroad. Although I was doing some coursework last week and we put about 10€ million into the E. U and get something like 11€ Million back xD I feel sorry for the French and British you get less than half back from what you pay into it. . . and I do enjoy the highway you built. – As long as as our castle moats get cleaned here !! I’ve never liked a dirty foso xD and is this free porno movies for all house holds now ?? Or just your MP’s ??
