PARQUE DE NACIONES -ONE OF MOST DANGEROUS URBS IN SPAIN
One urbanisation in Torrevieja has been described as one of the most dangerous in the whole of Spain. The gardens, carpark, swimming pool and sports area are all underneath a high tension electricity cable, and the Green Party have been complaining about this fact for the past 18 months. Since the first “denuncia” was handed in nothing appears to have been done to remedy the situation in Parque de las Naciones. The 600 homes there were built 12 years ago.
For the Green Party the situation is unbelievable. The rules on high tension electrical cables are that they should be underground, and that the cost of burying them should be covered by the management company, which in this case is Eden del Mar.
What puzzles the Green Party is the passive attitude of the mayor about the matter. As it turns out it was Eden de Mar who bought the plot of land that the Mayor sold in 2005, when he made 5.4 million euros in profit.
