Hi Girls, I live near Alicante city (more than 20 years) and it is very Spanish, so unless you speak Spanish, not a good place to look for a job, and it is more cultural than the other places. Much more fun in Benidorm and better chance maybe of getting a job too. Torrevieja has a large resident British population in the town as well as the surrounding urbanisations, so you might be lucky there. But Benidorm is most probably the cheapest option by far, and with more to do, so good luck with your search and have a good holiday. But PLEASE look after your handbags.

Torrevieja is quite enough. Your probably better trying Alicante and Benidorm especially if your looking for work.

I have lived in Spain nearly 20 years, and have lived in all 3 places. Benidorm by far is your best option as it caters for holiday makers and is full of Brit bars and clubs. Alicante caters more for the Spanish people and Torrevieja whilst full of Brits, is more for the retired people who have homes there. So Benidorm is your best bet, but don’t expect to find work as it is very bad here at the moment and those of us that speak Spanish fluently are struggling to find a job. Also the later into the season you come, the more expensive it will be. Check out Morgans bar for the Full Monty strip by the barmen, that is also where the t. v series “Benidorm” with Johnny Vegas is filmed. You will have a great time here.

Hi !I think that both Alicante and Benidorm are good options, because they are really big cities with a lot of opportunities. Torrevieja is small. Concerning the cost of the apartments, Alicante should be cheaper than Benidorm. Especially for students. If you are looking for a private flat for 2 or 3 months, you can find a lot of announcements on the bus stop in front of the University of Alicante. The best option should be to rent the whole flat in a nearby suburb San Vicente or in the center of Alicante, near Plaza de Torros in the suburb Campo Amor or close to Avenida Alcoy street. The flat should cost about 150 euros per month per room. So, a flat for three girls should not cost more than 500 euros per month.
